This project proposes an art-research installation that involves the broader community in a multisensorial simulation of unexpected and disastrous floods. As a result, this research project stimulates, as well as assesses, (i) environmental knowledge of floods, (ii) disaster preparedness, (iii) community resilience/environmental justice, and (iv) communication about floods and other wet disasters that we are expecting under climate change.
Currently, the project is being developed in Ithaca, New York, with the sponsorship of the Atkinson Centre for Sustainability and Engaged Cornell.
