Stemming from an ongoing collaboration with researchers from Colombia to conduct interdisciplinary investigation in the marshes of El Rio de la Magdalena, this project aims to examine the formation of international water knowledge in some of the most vulnerable areas, as well as embankment removal and its impacts in Colombia. How is water knowledge and adaptation understood and what are the consequences of this international interest on local practices and national policies of water management? What is the relation between global and local understanding when they are put in direct conversation?
