This project magnifies the ongoing articulations at the origin of policy documents on the basis of how bureaucrats, water treatment businesses, water scientists, corporations, and technological experts categorize water and how their categories influence, but also at times are influenced by, knowledge in the poorest rural areas. These understandings of disastrous waters in rivers, groundwater, transboundary waters, water quality and quantity, and sanitation, in times of climate change are unpacked in how they shape environmental justice and adaptation to water disasters.
